#15- How in the world did Nancy Greene survive that downhill crash into a wall of ice?! Must have been juiced on Mars bars.

#20- Redd Foxx driving off a ski jump with a six of Colt 45- hilarious!

Right where I want to be
Love the fashion in the skiing magazine on the commercial playing late at night.
The Suzy Chapstick ones I remember well
Riunite on ice so nice
Frosted Rice?
The guy in the orange suit is in a few of them
Was Redd Foxx drinking the colt .45's as well?

Looks like Boston.com is having a field day with skiing.]
Almost wondering if they have been following my Friday Video posts on Ski Mad World? :spin:

I have a few gems (posted or in Draft mode), they caught the classic from my memory bank.

The three that are or will be in Ski Mad World:

- Pepsi featuring Wayne Wong
- Juicy Fruit possibly at least one known skier, looks like one of the Laroche brother at the end (Canadian Aerial).

Ski Commercials - Wayne Wong and Pepsi

Ski Commercials 2 - Juicy Fruit

Ski Commercial 3 - Jean-Claude Killy That is an important one that is definitely missing from the Boston.com list.

Ski Commercial 4 - Crazy Canucks

Ski Commercial 5 - Maria Walliser

- Mars Bar and Nancy Greene hasn't been posted yet as I'm not posting Videos everyweek this Winter and there is more to videos than commercials. The Commercial 6 is about the debate on commercialization and athletes selling stuff which tagged Nancy Greene at one point. That crash was at the 1966 World Championships at Portillo.

This is a gem of a find. So was it generally the fault of equipment that most people skiing in these commercials looked moderately to insanely out of control? WTF is Wayne Wong in the pepsi vid? Wasn't he a tennis player from Hong Kong?

:roll::sadwalk:

Wayne Wong. You think Wayne Wong is a tennis player? He's a skiing icon.

Wayne Wong, named one of the most influential people in Skiing according to Skiing and Powder Magazines, and Member of the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame. Wong is one of the pioneers in Freestyle skiing.

Taken from my piece from my Friday Video on Wayne Wong.

Wayne Wong = Wong Banger + Slow Dog Noodle + one of the godfathers of freestyle skiing

I can't, for the life of me, think of a famous tennis player from Hong Kong. The only Asian or person of Asian descent that I can think of who ranked high on the ATP tour was Michael Chang. And he's from California.

I am old and there is a commercial for TImex watches I remember well. I was looking for it but they didn't have it. A guy skied right at a stationary camera making several turns then stopped and there was a timex strapped to his ski. Announcer: "Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking."
