I have never seen the place that busy on a Thursday night. I had to park in the lower lot and take the shuttle! Conditions were good, but if it wasn't for race league I would have left.

damn... I was thinking about a quick hitter after work tomorrow (haven't used the pass yet this year)... maybe that's not such a great idea?

Hey W. no worries, Wawa clears out after 6:30-7pm....the school groups are back in full force. Wawa expects ~40-50 school buses but they generally start leaving after 7pm. Good thing the school groups only last until late Feb.

I know what the usual nighttime routine is. I've been doing Thursday nights for 4 years now. This was the worst I've seen it. Never had to take the shuttle at night before.

school groups are big this year.

They are busing in around 1,800 kids each night. Many chaperones take their own car. The fallon it fits program sells MANY more bronze passes than in years past. This translates to weekend like crowds 7 nights a week until early March. Expect third lot parking and long lines until the school groups vanish. Without cancellations for rain they have 5 more weeks to go. I usually take these 5 weeks and hit lesser known mountains up north. Wa is tough to ski "peak" season.

Yep, I am staying away on race nights for sure now the buses are in. It's still funny how dead it gets at 9pm though. No lift lines for an hour :)

I think another aspect to this is the great snow Wa has at this time PLUS college vaca for another week or so.

I was up Sunday AM @ 8AM and parked in row 8! Third lot was filling a little later. But I was able to ski onto the lift almost all morning. I think it was too cold for some folks.

There was NO wind, so the cold temps didn't seem so bad.

Still haven't gotten out to use my Bronze pass yet...

Gotta do that this week hopefully.

I was there last Wednesday around 6:45, and saw the same thing, sign saying park in lot 3. I almost turned around and drove home but instead I drove down to lot 2, slowly got dressed (came straight from work) and then had to wait another 10-15m's until they started letting people back in to lot 1 around 7:15.

I was able to park in row 2 and the singles line was never more then a couple minutes wait. Moral of the story is, don't get there before 7pm on weeknights, talking to a few other people its been like this every week night since xmas.
