Got on the hill around 7... must've been about 200 people on the mountain then (and 150 of them on Look Mom) and about 15 at closing. Temps were in the mid 30s when I arrived, then down to the upper 20s at the end of the night. With temps in the upper 40s today, I expected lots of frozen granular, which is pretty much what it was.

Conifer was pretty slick, but had nice soft frozen loose granular on the sides in many spots. Better than I thought it would be. Look Mom is now open with a small rail park at the top consisting of two rails and two boxes. This drew much of the crowd tonight so the trail was rather slick, but the coverage looks good and glad they have a park up this early to contain the park rats to their own trail. Ralph's and Challenger were the best runs on the mountain by far. They were hardpacked frozen granular and if I had my old skis with their awful edges, I probably wouldn't have made it an hour. But my new skis made that kind of snow a blast. They edged everything no problem. I must've lapped Challenger 25 times tonight. With Look Mom containing the boarders, I had the trail to myself every time down. Never had that much fun on a Minuteman trail before, especially one with no bumps.

Should be back up Thursday afternoon.

It would be nice to see them make some fresh snow on Conifer at some point. Pretty sure they have not blown over there since before last Wed's rain.

They focused strictly on Minuteman and a little bit on Monadnock, but I'm sure the summit will be the first thing under attack this Saturday.
