Just back from a morning at Wa. Ski'd with SkiMangoJazz and talked to Mishka but missed him on the hill. His handmade twin tips are flat out gorgeous, would have liked to have taken them for a spin.....

All was in midseason form, no better than that = no scratch anywhere to be found. There were still some spots of boot high chop left here and there, I had the iSupershapes so I stayed on the piste but SMJ fooled around a bit in the fluffy on his slightly fatter skis. I was wishing I had brought the Volkl Explosivs too, I expected 100% knock down of pow by the grooming attack fleet....

No report on Ralph's or the beginner hill sorry, the above mentioned stuff was too good to waste a bunny run for this report.

The groomers however were all in top nick, Hitchcock my favorite was open and glorious!! Frannie's open as an option down too.

All trails ski'd were in great shape. Conifer in particular should be awesome tonight when they knock down the huge whales....Smith was real nice too. Prefer Smith to 10th so skipped 10th but is should be bomber tonight as well!!

Great morning of skiing, recco u all go out tonight before the thaw and get some. Will be worth the high price of admission.

I expect Mishka will chime in later with his afternoon experiences....

Happy Christmas to all!

Glad you made it up, wish we could have joined you. Sounds like conditions were great. We do need to get out a few times this year!

afternoon was very good especially by wawa standards. Skier right on 10th and Smith has some resemblance of bumps not big ones but nevertheless bumps. If not for small core shot I picked up on the last run great day at wawa.

You really missed a bluebird day, conditions in the AM were just spectacular.....I am largely unfamiliar with skiing on fresh dry packed powder snow....hero stuff indeed! Unfortunately it appears the bluebird current conditions will be short lived per the norm. It is so precious and rare for us S New England flatlanders to see ski conditions like what I experienced yesterday. Drove by Yawgoo Valley this afternoon and it appeared to be more of the same. Sunday there will be rivers of melting snow running down the hill. So lucky I am for now in a position to grab the goods if they are there....

Mishka, sorry about the bump on your beautiful skis.....I think you should post a pic here in this thread so folks can understand what a brilliant craftsman you are!
