Watchung Amateur Ski Club

There's a few of us from NJ on here...anyone part of the Watchung ski club?

I was toying around with the idea of going to their open house.

Don't forget The New Jersey Ski Council kick off party at the Hanover Marriott this Friday. Lots of ski clubs will be there (probably Watchung as well)+ many ski areas, some of which might have some freebies.

Do you know if the Craigmeur Ski Club is still in existence? I went to a couple of their meetings in Rockaway several years ago but never followed through with becoming a full member.

Don't know about Craigmeur but I believe High Line Ski Club meets at the Exchange in Rockaway. This show/event at the Hanover Mariott is a great place to find out about ski clubs. 7-12 Friday, free admission and they do serve cocktails.

Actually I read it as Watching Amateur ski club. You sure all they do is ski?

They've been thown out before.

It's my understanding they are now stopped at the border and refused entry.

Age group: 21 + over.


Craigmeur Ski Club meets every Wednesday 8pm @ The Exchange - Main Street - Rockaway, NJ
Age group: family member club.

For what it's worth, I went to their open house last year. Nice group of folks. Two reasons why I didn't join; 1) I work at a company with 85k employees, the company ski club gets killer deals. 2) I pretty much ski with my boys 80% of the time, Watchung club pricing for trips did not make it feasible $-wise.

In your area is the Summit ski club. I know they have a club house in MRG valley. Recommend looking into that one.

My bad, it's the Short Hills Ski Club that has the house in MR valley. They meet at the Elks in Summit.....

I've seen the sign for that on the way to Sugarbush, it's right on Route 100.

I just got a phone call from the Watchung ski club. As it turns out I won their raffle for a ski bus trip to either Belleayre, Windham, Elk, or Hunter.
