My son and I decided not to go skiing this past weekend, and given how hard it rained, I have no regrets about this decision. Unfortunately, the long-term forecast is showing rain once again for next weekend across much of the Northeast.

The NWS has good weather Tuesday through Saturday for me. I know I'll be out there every day at peak tanning hour.

At whiteface we miss a lot of the snow storms. We also miss the rain storms. It did something yesterday a mixture of ice pellets and snow.

good base.

I would not pay attention to the forecast yet it is only good 24hrs out.

Sun on Sunday and temps in the 60's. Yes, stay in NYC and leave the bad skiing to us.....

Very funny. I see the forecast has indeed improved. I'll be going to Hunter.

Enjoy it. Tons of base at Hunter. Should be big soft mushy bumps all over the place.

Just cause it's a washout where you live it's the weather at where the skiing is that's important. Last weekend was not a washout at many places and this weekend certainly doesn't look like that either. Like Root said things can change.

There you go Greg, talking about the older, well endowed ladies skiing in Bikini tops again ;) :spin: ;)

You're bordering on creepy there, Jeffy.

Gonna be more like a melt-out. They're talking about temps in the 70s around here for Sunday.

Sorry there Greg. If you could have seen the crew of folks that were in the bar of the hotel I was staying at (and drinking in with some of my dental friends) last Saturday night, it wouldn't seem so creepy!

I do understand that. Last Saturday, it was pretty much solid rain everywhere that was a reasonable (by my standards) day-trip from NYC. Luckily this weekend is looking far better.
