I just like the simple ones, like iTrailMap for maps, and Ski Report and REI Snow for conditions, info etc...

In general it just sucks to have to take your phone out when skiing. Although the same goes for regular old trail maps. There must be some better invention....

I prefer some good hot wings after a great day of skiing. Can't think of a better APP than that.

And a cold pitcher of beer

back to the original question

I use Phresheez on Android. It works great, it knows what resort you are at, it tracks your skiing time, lift ride time, and waiting time. It knows and quantities the slope ratings you skied, as well as distance and vertical feet.

I didn't pay for the full site access last year, but I am going to this year because I like stats....

I tend to use it pre=skiing, mostly the weather apps, traffic, and maybe sorta conditions if I'm choosing the hill at the last minute

I really love the Ski Tracks app for Iphone. Keeps track of vertical skied, distance, speed, average speed, number of runs and shows the information in useful graphics tables and superimposed on the mountain map.

The North Face Snow Report - Aside from giving conditions reports, it has a season log feature where you can record your ski day and write out a trip report on the fly. I usually cut and paste my season log onto the AZ site for my TRs. Also has an avalanche advisory feature for backcountry expeditions. If you choose New Hampshire, it links you directly to the Mount Washington Observatory's page.

I've used iphone REI's and SkiReport.com's apps....

both are ok, usually like most apps just help kill boredom during train commutes, etc...

Ripxx on WP7. Tracking app. Haven't used it all that much, but it's worked decently for what I've done with it.
