discussing skiing with like minded folks is great. none of my friends are skiers.
meeting other skiers has also been cool. i have met a lot of great folks through AZ and try to make turns on a semi-regular basis with some folks.
news, conditions, and generally ski related gossip is also nice. you kinda get to know what is happening in the industry before most average skiers by following topics on here.
it is really all about shared experiences with other people.

ALLSKIING has excellen points. I'm with RC as well...it's the experience. And if I can't be on snow...this is the next best thing....all year long.

1) I thought that I was the only skiing snow loving nut around, with the discovery of this
website I realize that I am not alone:lol:
2) I have had the chance to meet a few really nice people that like the sport as much as
I do.
3) I have a place to post pictures of skiing memories with people who I hope would
appreciate them as much as I do.
4) The "guess the ski area" thread has made it more fun to ski with the camera and take
obscure pictures that are hard to tell where they were taken.
5) The "ski area challenge" is a unique idea that really is an integral part of Alpine Zone
and I visit the site to read and or participate in it wherever I can.
