call me crazy, but skiing is such an induvidual experience that to label it would be pointless. even when riding with a group, it really is just about you and the hill.

Skiing for me is a secondary benefit to being on, around, or near to snow as nothing else in life makes me happier than the touch or thrill of playing in it. I have been fascinated with the stuff since I was a kid and spent lots of money chasing it year round for a while.

For me, I do not need a steep mountain, with huge bowls and vast backcountry terrain, though I really do love that stuff, as I found out while skiing at Copper Mountain and the backside at Sugarloaf. I just like to ski wherever I can afford to have a good time and ski with my son.

My wife and I have seriously talked about another move further north, or out west to be in ski country, and have the opportunity to play/ski 8-10 months out of the year, either by lift or by hiking.
