killington... although it was early season I will definitely be back to taste it when its 100%.. went to Tahoe and skied squaw, heavenly and Kirkwood. I really liked them all as they are very different form one another. I plan to hit another 4 or 5 new hills next year, maybe more depending on where I go out west.

Disregard previous, please...! I was trying to copy and post a reply from another spot.... Dammit.

Wildcat and Smuggs' were both new for me this year. Wildcat was a very cold April day with windy, bulletproof conditions. I would like to get back for better conditions. Smuggs' is an awesome mountain. I was there on closing day, and it skied like mid-winter. I can't wait to get back to ski more of their challenging, old-school terrain.

Stratton was my only new mountian this season. First day was a powder day so that definitly helped me enjoy it. Nice woods. Decent terrain. Had a blast, i liked the village atmosphere for apres, definitly a change of pace. I will visit again.

Re-Visited Attitash after about 10 years and I was underwhelmed, not much has changed. Lifts seemed outdated. Still had fun but won't rush back. Wish we opted for Wildcat that day.

Re-Visited Okemo after about 15 years. Found some good woods and varied terrain that the whole family enjoyed. We enjoyed it so much we got a seasonal rental there for next season...according to recent post on Okemo I guess we are just not hardcore.....

I collect pins from all the mountains we visit, i added Sugarbush North and Stowe as new places for me this season.

Both were great and I can't wait to get back to them.

i was hoping to hit a couple more "new to me" places this season but it didn't work out as i'd hoped.

In order, not including repeats:

Burke, Jay, Sugarloaf, Attitash, Sugarbush, Pico, Magic, Sunday River, Wildcat, Sunapee

No trip out west, but covered a lot of NE. I was happy with my season.

Also in order:
Mont Orford
Sugarbush
Stowe
Saddleback

Needless to say, I hit some of the big boys this year and am now in much better position to chime in on Eastern power ranking-type discussions that will inevitably happen in the near future.

On the docket for next year and beyond:
Smuggler's Notch
Mad River Glen
Magic
Massif du Sud (for those who don't know, it looks like the Magic of Quebec City as a weekend-only area with what appears to be a cult following)
Crotched (for the convenience factor-bought a Peak Granite Pass for this season)

Mt Ellen is the only real new one for the year. Though I did hit the side country at Solitude this year too.

the cozy brown snows of the east
East: We generally had bad luck with new places. We did Cranmore over one holiday weekend, and found exposed rock on the chairlift dismount at the end of the regular day/beginning of night skiing. That said, some of their trails were pretty fun.
I also hit Bromley for the second time, but my previous was my first ever day and just a beginners class. This was our backup plan as it was the powder day around Christmas when Magic pooped the bed. The crowds were absolutely insane, and I don't think I'll ever return.

West: Kirkwood: 3 days. crazy awesome; best lifts of any Vail resort (because 1 lift takes you to the good stuff).
Heavenly: 5 days. fun. Snoseak and I opened a trail pod for the season in knee deep powder. My only run down Mott Canyon was very disappointing.
Northstar: 2 days. My better half really likes it, which is enough to get me another trip to Tahoe.

I saw a tone of stuff at Vail that was new to me due to a locals tour.

Fortunately for me a very old distant relative was nice enough to pass away during a massive snow storm at the beginning of February which gave me the opportunity to offer my condolences and get in an epic day at Bridger Bowl before I had to go home. Thanks Uncle Harold!

Sun Valley. Wow. Such great bowls and beautiful sustained steep groomers. You can really rip. Ketchum is a good drinking town too!

And yes the money there makes for out of this world lodges all over the mountain.

I'm waiting till mid summer to organize and post the trip report. And yes I did see the Gov-ernator there. Shorter in person than you would expect.

I think just Silverton this year. Summit county had a good year which meant less traveling I guess.

Magic, Pico, and Plattekill for me. All were very high quality days. Glades all day at Pico, day cut short at Magic, and groomers at Platty. Thoroughly enjoyed all 3, but would say Magic was my favorite. Magic was also my first ever "earn your turn" run.
