Around here, we go through cereal like there's no tomorrow. Good thing I keep getting deals where I can stock up for pennies a box. In any case, which ones are your favorites?

I love the old school sugary stuff like Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Krispies, Frosted Flakes... but I won't let my kids eat any of those. It's all Kix, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Kashi for them.

I see Quisp all the time on TV shows but I don't think I ever had it... interesting. I love the line on the box: "Vitamin Powered Sugary Cereal."

That means I was old enough to have been exposed to it...but wasn't.

I remember Sugar Bear though...whatever the heck those puffs of sweetness were called. Mmmm....

Between Brian and the kids, cereal doesn't last long here. I had 2 really good deals recently where I stocked up on 20 boxes of name brand cereal for only a couple of bucks each time and we're already down something like 25 of those 40 boxes in maybe 5 or 6 weeks' time. So went to Target today to get 5 boxes of Kashi Honey Sunshine for the kids and after coupons and their $5 Gift Card back for buying 5, I paid $0.52. :D

Lots that I like the taste of, but they don't keep me full until lunch. My #1 desert cereal is Apple Jacks. But for breakfast I usually alternate between Kashi Heart to Heart and Raisin Bran Crunch. Occasionally to mix it up I'll have Honey Bunches of Oats or Crispix but it's really not filling enough.

Loved Quisp, Quake and Capt Crunch as a kid. Guess I'm lucky to still have my teeth.

I could definitely see Brian pouring half a box into a giant salad bowl after an MTB ride...

I like all sorts of cereal, as Sev mentioned. Honey Nut Cheerios might be one of my favorites though, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is another that I don't have too often. There's lots other, way too many to list. I think I have a problem. I'll eat cereal for dinner, and have on several occasions recently. Sometimes I like to chow down on a few bowls after I get home from a mountain bike ride...

Funny you should mention that, see above.

I'll eat half a box in a sitting, but never all at once in a big bowl. It would get too soggy that way. I'll pour a bowl, with lots of milk, it's gotta be swimming in there, and when I finish the cereal I'll just add more to the left over milk. I'll keep doing that until the milk is almost gone, then I'll drink the super sweet milk that's left. :D

Quisp is still available but seems to be limited. I bought a box a few months ago and my kids could not undertand how happy I was to find it. Wiped out a box in no time.

This morning I had a bowl full of Honey Smacks. Still lists sugar as the first ingredient but calling them Honey Smacks instead of Sugar Smacks makes them sound healthier.

Oh, those are good. Haven't had them in a while!
