Obviously some already have.

I'd definitely like to get an October day in, and it looks like Killington might deliver.

Realistically October would be a reach for me. If Killington or Sunday River can stay open, and hopefully expand, I'll be aiming for a pre-Thanksgiving day for sure.

I'll ski the first day I don't have a travel conflict but I doubt I'll ski a whole lot until they get more open. After skiing Rime every day it was open for the month of November last year, I've sort of lost my enthusiasm for it.

Realistically speaking, it tends to wind up being whenever Hunter opens. Much as I'd love to be able to get to Killington, my $$$ for gas and hotel rooms is limited enough that I'd rather save those trips for powder days.

Hoping to score an October day this year. I may have to start my preseason conditioning today and do some crunches.

as soon as something "good" is open within 3 hours of my home (killington or south). i'll not burn a PTO day for mediocre skiing so a weekend day trip is most likely. oct 30 looks like my best bet, assuming mountains and mother nature cooperate.

Mine is predetermined to be 12/11 at Stowe and then the next day at Sugarbush.

Unless we get some freak snow storm in PA before that. Which is fairly unlikely:cry:

Most likely in exactly 2 months, 12/18, wherever has the most snow (natural or manmade).

In fact, I think I can already figure out most of my ski days this season.

Definite:
12/18
Two days between 12/30-1/1
1/15
2/19
3/4, 3/5, 3/6
Plus 1 random day at Hunter, hopefully after a storm

Possible (if there happens to be a storm while I'm up, I'll squeeze another day in):
1/16
2/20

So count on it snowing after those dates. Over the past 2 years, 5 out of the past 6 times I've gone up to NH, there was a storm within 3 days after I left.

Nothing like skiing groomed hardpack and bare woods all weekend, then driving home in a snowstorm!

Pretty much this, obviously less for me given the travel time associated with it. I figure I'll do this Saturday and Halloween (still need to figure out costume,) then I'll be up at Killington every weekend from then until May, er, April minus Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Sundown bump comps. Until they open up the Canyon, weekends may be more for the party than the skiing. A whole mountain of Blues gets boring fast.

The 3 weeks of North Ridge got really old last year. Here's hoping they can at least expand to a park on Mouse Run off the POMA for Halloween.

Soon, but not rushing it. Rather sink $$ into April-May skiing than October.

The 1st Saturday that Mount Snow is spinning their lifts for more than just their now almost yearly Halloween (or earlier) rail jam on the beginner hill
