I suspect Jiminy, Hunter or Mount Snow. I'm not going to push to get out before Thanksgiving though. If the early season looks good, then I'll go for it, otherwise I'm sitting tight this season. I burned too many vacation days last year for the crappy early season that would have been better spent in March or April.

I like to hit at least 3 opening days each season and a few closing days as well..it's just one of the pleasures of the sport..If I could bottle the feeling I get driving up to Belleayre or Okemo or Killington or wherever for my first day of the season..I'd be a billionaire..

Well put.............................make sure you post it on the "trip and event" forum when you're heading up!

Good call. 90% of the time skiing is better in March and April in so many respects...no crowds, sun, deck parties.......BUT we are bound to get some moisture sooner or later after living in this New England dessert this summer! I have a brook "running" through my front yard that has been dry since May. I'm predicting a couple nice dumps before Christmas this year!!!!!!!

It will depend on who's open when and what they have to offer. We had a nice first day at Snow last season, wouldn't mind doing that again.

99% either Sunday River or Sugarloaf unless another mountain within 2.5 hours of Portland opens first and the conditions look worth it.

Right now it looks like Kmart the weekend of Thanksgiving. I haven't been there in a few years so I'm actually pretty excited about it. Have a load of bdays and what have you after that so the next trip probably wont be until Hunter on the 14th.
