Generally, how are the crowds up there on prez weekend?
it would get busier, but never as bad as vermont resorts.
The "good" thing about many of the major resorts and holiday weekend crowds is that so many resorts have blackout passes holiday weekends. That not only eliminates a fair number of folks from the trails that usually might be there, but the few time a year crowd that shows up to replace the blacked out passholders generally don't know/use certain parts of many mountains that the regulars know and use, so that nowadays, while the lodges and signature lifts/trails at many mountains will be crowded this weekend, the regulars can generally quite easily find some uncrowded terrain and lifts to use to rack up the verts on a holiday weekend from 1st chair to last chair.
Not skiing. Avoiding crowds.
Sunday River/Loaf/Loon blackout means the monster has to play elsewhere:
Saturday and Sunday - Saddleback (and Casablanca)!
Monday - Magic (if I still have strength left)
Hope to see you on the hill, BackLoafRiver! Say hello -> black helmet, blue jacket, black pants, green boots and fat Rossis.
That's sorta along the lines I was thinking, but from what I've heard about lift lines, Smuggs wasn't on the list. Burke was one idea, maybe Jay or Magic. Aside from the Jay cloud, though, I wouldn't think any place would have that good of on-map stuff given two weeks of cold but no snow. BC was the original plan, get some use of my AT setup, but I've got plumbing, redoing a shower, insulation, etc. to do at home. This is my problem. I am blacked out this weekend at Sugarloaf and SR. Still contemplating driving to Vermont to hit up Bolton Valley and Smuggs. If not, I'll be heading to Saddleback on Sunday and would like to hit Wildcat Monday. If Wildcat isn't in the cards, it will be Saddleback again Monday.

Saturday - Plattekill or Hunter
Sunday - Whiteface
Monday - Sundown, if I have strength and if it's not to far out of the way going home.
Only possibility is a couple hour session at Camelback....but I assume the crowds will be tough...anyone have experience, 4aprice? Root?
I think a lot of the regulars will show up to see this.
Btw, it's only a mole hill, how much strength could a Killington regular need to ski it.
