Although I grew up in Westchester, I have never loitered in Washington Sq. Park. Only Maine and Vermont's finest for me!

That's one of the funnier things i've seen all day, "They claim to have no idea what it's used for". I think we may have the makings for a rendezvous of different sorts!

Me:
Wallet in car (drivers license and cash in inner pocket)
Phone in car
Key ring in car (one key comes along with license)
Snacks in L chest pocket
Wahoo in homemade 420 kit, R chest pocket

--I also thought this was an end of season storage thread, in which case all to the basement except for one pair and an ice axe i'm allowed to keep in the hall for daily inspiration.--

I dont think theres anything wrong with enjoying a few brews while riding. Its a nice way to enjoy the lift ride up. I dont like riding wasted, so its usually only 1 or 2 .... or 3.

Let's see:

Herb in left sleeve pocket
QUOTE]

I'm guessing this is for the pasta sauce you throw together after a long day on the mountain. Which mountain do you call home? ;-)

I was thinking one of his ski buddies was named Herb or maybe he likes listening to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass while skiing? LOL

i carry too much junk on the slopes. even if you never met me, you'd probably recognize me. I'm the guy who looks like he;s about to fall over!

I carry a
50 oz Camelback
Salomon waist pack(yeah I know, it;s a "fanny pack") usually holding a sandwich, granola bars, lip balm, wallet, car keys, extra AAA batteries, ect....
2 way radio with remote mic
digital camera
neck wallet

and new for this year-helmet mounted camera with PVR in side pocket with all the added wires and battery packs that come with it.

all this junk adds an extra about 5-10 pounds easily....i look a little ridiculous. on the plus side, I might be ready for the ironman triathlon!

i was wondering the same thing about your beers!

I don't drink while skiing, I just like to enjoy the day...afterwards thats a diffent story, I drink enough beer to make up for it.

I always carry my cellphone with my now. just in case, a friend of mine fell in the woods a few years ago and it took us a while to find him, he had craweled out to the trail, he just got back to skiing this year after several operations. Now I always bring my phone, I think I have gotten service at every mtn. except wildcat where I carry a walkie talkie.

no backpacks?

So, am I the only one who prefer to carry a backpack? I'm just so disoragnized to
keep things in order with that many pockets. Also I always find it convenient that
I can adjust my (and my kids) layers according to the changing temperature.

Only when I need it... I tend to wear one out west due to carrying shovel and probe and stuff....
