Wachusett

Sugarbush
MRG

Most Likely:

Mount Snow
Berkshire East
Sundown

Pretty likely:

Killington (provided they dont choose to close down by mid february)
Waterville

I might let AZ gatherings play a role in some of the maybes as well. I'll try to get to as many of the SNE ones as I can plus the SB/MRG one.

Tripyramid North (stars aligning required)

Why Tripyramid? It seems like a wicked approach to a slide that isn't that long or steep, and probably doesn't hold snow that well since it is west facing. East Osceola seems way more interesting IMO. Lincoln always looking very cool with right conditions.

PS: you should get a Cannon pass...

Where to go this season?

Like SkiDog, I too now live in Utah. My house is in Draper and is located right up against "Lone Peak" on the Wasatch front range about 20 minutes from Alta/Snowbird and 30 minutes from Brighton/Solitude. I'm going to spring for the "Alta-Bird" pass. Despite skiing in UT since the "00-01" season, I have not made the run to Powder Mountain. That is definitely on my list for this coming year.

Definates:

WaWa - Closest for day trips.
Stowe - Have a week time share and love Stowe.
B'East - Went once last year and loved it. It's within doable day trip range.
Sunapee - Day trip range though I rather go to B'East if conditions there are good.
Somewhere out West: Probably UT but no specific plans.

Other destinations will be determined as weather, work, and family schedules dictate.

Yea. I've read a few reports from T4T and it looks enticing but needs good conditions and I'll want a partner or two for that one. There are actually a few other One Offs in that general area I want to try conditions and partners permitting. I am really enjoying the adventuring qualities of such pursuits. I was side lined late this past season which kept me from trying some more ambitious stuff when we had good April and May snow pack.

Why not Tripyramid? More about the adventure than the skiing and I have never been up that mountain. I have some other objectives that I am not disclosing at this point. I should get a Cannon pass and you should give me the $500 so I can pay for it.

Considering I will be driving from Plymouth, if I am making the haul mid-week it would probably be in other directions such as to Mad River, Smuggs, Saddleback, etc. If it is a powder day, then I would be heading to Jay any ways. If there is no powder, I would just be skiing at Cannon. I may give Burke a token visit for the season but it is not planning. Come to think of it... I still need to ski that shot I helped maintain.... so maybe just once for that opportunity!

$500?! Nevermind then, I thought it was cheaper for NH residents. Cannon is way too fickle with snow fall for that price to pay off especially when tues, wed, and thurs will be wicked cheap for you.

And I'm defiantly interested in some "adventure touring" in that area of the whites. Though I will need to get a heck of a lot smarter before I venture off into any of that stuff before springtime.

I'll still be skiing Killington at least some, but I'm undecided on if I'll be getting a pass or not, and depending on what happens this year, I may not be returning next year.

Hunter will get a good portion of my days as usual, and I'm hoping to make a trip to Magic after some snow.

Sno Mtn will be seeing me more this year, and Blue will get me for a few nights.

Also planning a trip to Tahoe (assuming they get decent snow), and since it's with family, it'll probably be Heavenly.

Meh. We need good topo's, a good planned route, and someone needs to not have frostbite on their toe this time.

In my mind, northern New England
My hit list next season:

Sunday River (will be a passholder if the price is right)
Sunapee (taking my class on our traditional ski day)
Sugarbush (AZ Outing)
Mad River Glen (might as well include this in the AZ Outing)
Tuckerman Ravine and the Sherburne Trail (sometime in April '08)
Somewhere in Utah (perhaps Alta/Snowbird or Powder Mountain)

My wish list next season:

Sugarloaf (favorite mountain -- would hit it every weekend if it weren't too far)
Saddleback (check out what all that AZ love is all about)
Stowe (haven't skied this legend of the Northeast; I like it's place in ski history)
Wildcat (after Tuckerman)
Cannon (will finally ski Mittersill too)
Magic (again, to find out what that love is all about)

All this talk about Hunter----may have to check that joint out----not far away from home base for me

Killington
Pico

Possibilities:

Jay
MRG
Sugarbush
Stowe

and any mountain I may have to travel to when my son or daughter have a race or competition.

I am postponing a trip to Utah since this is probably my last year as a lifetime passholder at Killington and I might as well take advantage of it and spend my money elsewhere when that option is no longer available to me.

....A pretty basic "wherever possible" schedule

Primary instate lift-served:
Sugarloaf (SundayRiver)(via pass)
Saddleback (probably by the day)

*More...non lift-served, more 1st-time resorts

We got a package of Ski NH Tickets, and plan on sampling all over NH this season. Some mountains were sold out, so we have to look for bargains, or pay full price. Oh well, looking forward to it!
