I bought mine from the River. no sales tax it was mailed to me. I got it last week.

I got a new picture last season. I had been using the same picture for the spring into march pass from years back.

I still have a grudge against Attitash for charging weekend holdiay rates on a mid week day last year. This had nothing to due with the price adjustments. They just hammered the customers for the MTN Dew vert challenge with no wanring. The staff and Volunteer's were suggesting we go else where to protest as we arrived. They had heard enough complants. No joke. It was to late. I promissed the kids could race. So no money ever to them again. Dead horse beaten again.

Support the river. Best group of people and staff going. IMO

Depends on whom you ask.

I just have never had any problems with the River. Quite the opposite, They always make the extra effort. I have had a couple small pass issues in the past, a quick e-mail and a quicker response. My pass got fell off my jacket a couple days before reggae weekend at the River. I did not realize it until I was on the way to the Loaf.
I called the pass office. They set it up for me to get a replacement at Sugarlaof cause I was on my way there. When I got there there was a note in the computer about my arrival. 2 min later I had a new pass. Ow no charge.

They are just a first class operation. The River sepaerates itself from the other ASC resorts. The loaf is nice as well. Just more interaction with SR.

I usually get mine from Attitash to save on taxes, but I guess it really doesn't matter. I'm so used to not paying taxes, living in NH that I'm always a little shocked at how much more the price of something is after you go to the register or checkout to buy it.

I voted TB GET A LIFE. Who cares where you pick it up . . . oh wait this is coming from they guy who needs to get a new picture each year and has all his season's pass since his first year . . . . yeah who cares where you get it?!?!?!:-D

BTW . . . I'm getting mine at Fall Festival (October 7 & 8 ) at SR. We always go up and see my "resort family", watch wife carrying, do a little hiking, and get my parent's place in Bethel ready for the winter.

AndyZee. I went off on that story about Attitash this winter. I forget everything but a grudge. Still gets me upset. There were guys (ambassadors) telling people make sure you complain to customer service. This is not right.

When I went the Customer service, people said see here where it says rates are subject to change. This is one of those times. I mentioned I had called and asked about the rate from customer service earlier in the week cause we were coming to the mountain dew vertical challenge. They said standard mid week rates over the phone. They understood the people were right and no mangement would speak with any of us.

Again this was not the slight increase all ASC places had. It was a holiday rate charged midweek. It was not mass vacation week. This lasted 1 day only. I'm sure the mountain Dew people were not impressed with all the angry people. I sent e-mails to them and even made contact with the State attorney generals' office. I was pissed. My only choice is to not give them money again.

...SR isn't in the red...

TBoss,
Just my $.01..but as I just don't know enough of the whole story, ...Nothing at all to do with the quality of operations at either Attitash or Killington, ...but with the number of British skiers that ASC books at Sunday River....it's highly unlikely that they'd sell the River...but I think I'd still go for the shortest drive.
How about going local non-ASC and something out West!

They sent me a letter in the mail with an e-mail address to send a photo. That first person I talked to did not have much of a clue I guess.

I just spoke with a lady up there today. You definitely need to send the waiver. Did the letter say that?

mines Sugarloaf. There was no mention of that.

Mine too. I never signed anything, but they sent my pass a few weeks ago. I think I clicked a checkbox last year. I don't even remember doing that this year.

Meanwhile, some friends who purchased from SR have been told they have to mail in signed pieces of paper, which is annoying because it's supposed to be a surprise gift for one of them.

:-o There are Brits at the River? I've never noticed! (Seriously, not being sarcastic.)

In Late March and April they were many Brits there. The easter break I believe. Only stated at the Grand summit once, but quite a crowd there.
