My son did the cat skiing trip last year with one buddy. Flew into Spokane, drove to Nelson, and got picked up and helied to Baldface. Said it was a great experience, but for the price he wouldn't do it again. Cat's advantage over heli is that cat can go out in weather that might ground a heli. Not as much actual time on skis as he had hoped.

The best and most snow is in the Monashee.
"Quite simply, the Northern Monashee Mountains northwest of Revelstoke, British Columbia are arguably the best place on the planet for quantity and quality of snow. Mustang gets significantly more snow than any of its competitors."
"Mustang Powder is located near Revelstoke, BC in the Northern Monashee mountains - a range known as one of the best places in the world for consistently great powder snow. Because the Monashees are an interior range we are blessed with light, dry powder, and due to the Pacific storm patterns we also receive much bigger dumps of snow than the ranges to the East, such as the Selkirks, Purcells or the Rockies. Mount Copeland, which is adjacent to the Mustang Lodge, holds the Canadian record for the greatest snowfall in one season at 24.5 metres. That’s over 80 feet of snow in one season - think of all those face shots!
