Whiteface Lodging?

Any suggestions for inexpensive lodging for whiteface?

I will be there for a level 200 ussa clinic 3/31 & 4/1

cascade inn on rt73, only about %50 a night and delicious wings at the restaurant

Cobble Hill just as you come into Lake Placid from WF on Rt. 86. There are a ton of places and that time of the season you'll be able to take your pick of good deals offered.

The pines of LP is a pretty decent spot. It is the oldest hotel in town. THe owners have been doing it over themselves for the last three years and it looking good. Frank and Jill, the owners are a fun to people to be around. They have a bar and grill downstairs and a huge hot tub that is never used. BYOB and leave ours alone. HAHA have fun

highpeaksdrifter suggest this place to me back in the fall and I stayed there a number of times. Place is a lil quirky, but the owner is nice, rates are reasonable. During the fall, if you walk in with out a reservation, you get a better rate than if you reserve. Not sure if that holds true during the winter and what availability may be. It's between 5 and 10 miles from Whiteface.

Cobble Mt. Lodge - I've neer stayed there myself, but I have friends that stay there on a regular basis year after year. Nothing fancy, but clean. Prices change with event weeks and seasons, but I'm pretty sure it's $59 a night weekends in the winter.
