I got two tix to Loon
I also got several pairs of thermal socks that would never fit into my ski boots once on my feet. Nice thought though.
Most people who know me know I dont really care for Loon. Nothing against the place. It's just not for me.
But hey, I figure I can bring my son there and have a good time with him.
You would think my mother would get the hint when she sees me and i'm decked out in my Jay hats and shirts
Speaking of my Jay Hats, I showed up at my mothers house Xmas morning with my son to open presents before leaving to go to family obligations with them elsewhere when she looks at my hat and starts shaking her head. She says " Are you really going to wear that hat to your aunts house today?" Now you have to understand this particular Jay hat is my favorite and has seen some miles.
I just smiled and repied "Yup!" :)

My wife and I each got a ticket to Okemo from my parents, along with a day of baby-sitting for our daughter and some gas money. :D

HEH! I also got a tic for Okemo! My #1 son gave it to me. He droped out of our end-o-year mid-week trip last March. So this ticket is for me..when he and I go this year. Hopefully it will be a BOYS-DAY-TRIP. I don't see much there for my wife and daughter.

HOEVER! I got my son a new set of board bindings (which we already checked out last week). We upgraded from some lousy intro bindings to some top-shelf stuff. New tech and better quality. It's amazing how much less he spends strapping in once we get to the top.

Also upgraded my daughter's skis. SHe had junior Atomics (which she did very well in). So we traded them in and went to Fischer RX4's per her instructor's recommedation.

Lastly...looking to update my wife's gear. It's five seasons old and she has hated the boots since day one. SHe mostly is mad at herself for accpting the guidance from the Scam Market rep. I've been looking for gear for her...I'm looking at skis with a bit more shape than her current K2 Freedom's. I saw the Volkl Ativa series at a decent price. Hoping to get her updated this week. Earlier is better so maybe tomorrow.

I got new Rossignol/Look pivot bindings. They din to 14, I'm not going anywhere in those ;-)

Got a new ski movie, Teddybear Crisis. A set of Burton Pipe gloves for the spring. Also got a flannel bed sheet set with skiers on it. Real comfy... Ladies.

I got one of these, and expect I'll look every bit as cool as the guy in the picture when I wear it.

A Coulior Ski Jacket, the first real (nice) ski jacket that I've had for a while other than my area jackets. With a patrol Jacket and an Instructors Jacket I haven't had too much need for a "real" ski jacket, so I have made do with knock off Columbia system jackets. I am taking a long weekend trip to Sunday River this year though, so I need a good one. I may also go out west, if funds permit, in April.

I got:

Dynastar Course 66 (race stock) skis and a pair of Look Pivot 14 bindings.

And money for some new poles.

And I'm thrilled to death.

My folks got me the Backcountry Calendar....

....and I'd be embarrased to list what Santa (me) got Santa. I'm done for a long time now.

Okay, okay, okay....

...it was an absolute self-dealing X-mas pig out (but with justifications and rationalizations backing all the madness up).

Back burnered my 12-13 year old North Face Steep Tech Work gloves with new North Face Gore-Tex gloves...don't have the model here, but they have nifty inner liner things, then the gore/shell part with a nice up the forearm cuff, back of hand cinch, and goggle squeegie built into the right hand index finger. Tried 'em and love em.

Back burnered by 12-13 year old North Face Steep Tech backpack for an Osprey Switch 25+5 pack....got killer reviews for resort/backcountry day trip pack in 2 or 3 different mag reviews this fall. Love it...very clever and well thought out.

Fit a pair into my board hoard....sort of an Eastern version big mountain, 25% on-piste, 75% tree/powder/crud off-piste board - Blizzard Titan Eight 175's with Tyrolia Railflex 14's. They are a little less intense than my Head Moster IM88's (186cm), and have a 16m turning radius, vs. 20+ tr's of the other skis in it's class. Good for tight trees, quick turning off-piste demands of the East. Hard as a beast to find....most Blizzard dealers don't carry the Titan's, at least not here in the east.

Back burnered my EMS gore ski bibs of 8 or 9 years with a pair of Arc'terxy Theta SK bibs. Just built fantastically, and have not disappointed. I did a bit of pre-X-mas testing. Ooops...

So, there you have it....a bunch of stuff, but a piggy moment like this won't be happening for another 10 years.

On the North Peak Triple...
Swix Roto brush kit...

(Okay it's not the sexiest gift in the world, but for anyone who regularly hand brushes their skies knows why this is a good gift)
