I can't believe that nobody gave the correct answer.

The answer is Alpine Zone is me.

And you.

And Greg.

And the mods.

And everyone else who posts here.

This is a community, and like all other communities, it is the people who take part in it. Some of us are skiers, some riders, some have nothing to do with either, but found a place where they could associate with (relatively  :p ) intelligent people on a variety of subjects.

Now, for all you who got the answer wrong, I expect 20 pushups!

I was more enquiring in regards to who writes/lists the news. You answer is spot on for the Forums. I therefore expect everyone to have a beer to make up for doing 20 unneccesary push-ups..lol. I spose you can have one too

(whispers: thanks for remembering me...)

But Greg- you forgot 2 things in the AZ evolutionary time line, and that is the successful spin off of ADK and MRV forums.....

This thread was from before the spin-offs I believe. You are correct though, they are important points on the AZ time line. Another added item would be the switch from phpBB to VBulletin for the forum software. Alot of folks may not notice much difference and some even dislike the new software. Its definitely better though, even if you don't see the light... ;)

oh. right. I see that now. That's what these glasses are for, the small font. All these young whippersnappers like that 8 point font. I got the "light" comment, too, btw....but if you had ever seen me on skis....;)

Actually the 'light' comment was aimed at people who don't yet see the benefit of the new forum... But if the shoe fits.... ;)

Thats one of the good things about skiing, the challenge... :)

Well I'm glad this place is around, and I found it. It's good to have a place to talk about the local resorts, and not have to keep a flame suit nearby. Getting up to date real conditions is great also. The added bonus was getting to ski with some very good bump skiers...so I could see just how much more practice I need to keep up.

Greg, thanks for starting things up. And thanks to everyone who frequents the board.

I always wondered how Greg ran his # of posts close to 7,000...

PS - This is a quick post designed to run up my total. :)

I have no life. And I make a lot of unsubstantiative posts like this one... ;)
