Thats what I liked about the place..Lots of potential.smootharc said:Actually know a guy who tried to get a group together for a private club type of thing.
After analysis, it was apparently clear that, like racing thoroughbreds (with the exception of a few major players), you'd better be doing it for the love and not the money, because the moment you signed on the dotted line you'd be getting a lot of the former, and giving much more of the latter...
Somewhere in a post before this was mentioned, and some guy tried to trade his 2.5 Mil yacht straight up for Maple Valley but was rejected.
The tree and trail potential on the left lift do look stellar, and I guess it's truly steep.
You guys scrape up the $3M to get this thing going, and I'll gladly lease the AZ brand...thetrailboss said:Hey Greg, maybe we could open this as the Alpinezone resort instead of Sugarbush!

You would also need a few Million in the bank after you opened just to keep it open.ctenidae said:Hey, if every registered user of AZ coughed up $2,000, there's be enough to buy it, and cover the $300-$500K they say is needed to open. Thats it...I thought it was more than that..hope its a steep 600 vert.ctenidae said:According to skimaps.com, it's 600 feet of vertical. NELSAP has a spot ready for it, too.
Ha, Hey I am ready lets get some investors lined up.ctenidae said:Okay, smootharc and ALLSKIING are on the official "Buzzkill List"
You could make a case for it being a good inestment, but it'd be tough to do it realisticaly. Otherwise, someone would have done it already.
Really...Do you know how much he put into the place?tree_skier said:The sad part of this is that the current owner bought the place for about $125,000, not too long ago.
