If NH gets it, then after turns Wednesday is in the cards. Otherwise, if NH does not get in on the play, possible vacation day Thursday if the Greens score a big jackpot. Either way, still bummed I didn't get in on the Killington action last week and I won't let October turns get away two weeks in a row. I see no reason not to continue a fourth straight year of October turns:

Okay, last year was a stretch... but I had some damn good days in 05 and 06.

Seriously considering it. Even though I live so close, I've never done this before. What kind of recommendations can you guys give to a newbie turn earner?

Stay dry on the way up. Start cold. If the forcast holds I will prolly drive to NY since I'm off wednesday and thursday. Never skiied white face before, I guess this would be the scenario...Seems like POW turns are pretty much a lock somewhere in NY or VT Wednesday Morning....Stoke=High.

How high up do you typically hike? How many feet of vertical can you climb per hour?

Hmmm.... tempting. Who wants to watch the kids so I can make a "quick" trip up? ;)

It would be worth blowing off a day of homework and class, that's for sure.

To the top. Ussually takes about an hour. You can do it faster, but get pretty sweaty.

you can make it from the base to the top of Manny in an hour? You talking Chin? You must seriously haul butt on skins. I've never tried it, but I figured it would take much longer than that.

Hour and a half to the summit. 50 minutes to the gondi house/quad is pretty reasonable.

It will take you an hour to get to the top of liitle whiteface. That 2300 vert. If you are going to the top tack on another hour. i cant do it that quick but I know it can be done.

Its not going to be anygood. Doing the jack rabbit trail from LP over to keene that will be a hoot

I am going to try and hit Hunter. First I have The Who tonight at Mohegan Sun so I'll be leaving from Uncasville in the morning.
