Sorry I take a bit of offense from the above posts, but hey thats your opinion, I don't care about how I look when I ski. I care about how I feel-I find it extermely uncomfortable to be skiing in sub-zero weather. THATs why I'm not skiing. AND, those that know me certainly wouldnt consider me a gaper, but so what if I was? Weren't you at one point?
Anyway, don't mean to come off harsh - I'm a little edgy today. Must be PMS lol.

Ah, didn't mean to offend you, sorry.

Stop it Pat...you're not skiing because your wife said no.

Because the first time I skied with you at Hunter the temps were equally brutal, there was snowmaking, and you skied without goggles. And we had to drag you off the hill at the end of the day.

Jim you would have to get your yellow jacket out tomorrow if you went, that is your cold weather jacket correct?

Yup, wore it this past weekend too.

Will probably use the ice climbing gloves on Sat to keep the fingers warm.

Ill be at Whiteface with my girl. Now you know shes a keeper if she braves the temps to get the good gapeless snow.

Mine's a keeper- she's forcing me to fake sickness so that we can go belleayre-ing tomorrow.

 my wife always says NO!

i seriously doubt i would ski in temps predicted for tomorrow though. I admire those who do, but i have a limit.

fwiw, i certainly took no offense to your post. It made me laugh cause its totally true. Only the most insane and dedicated of skiers would brave those temps and windchills.

I won't be out there tomorrow, so you know it has to be bad!!!!!

Today was gorgeous at Okemo, though. High about 8 at the bottom (not sure what at the summit), BLUE skies, no wind. I think the forecast kept a lot of people off the hill. It was empty!

I hear you.

I just figure it would be hypocritical of me to have bitched for the past 2 months about the record warmth, then not go skiing because it's too cold. I think ULLR gets kind of testy about those things.

That's why you need suckers like me to head out and deal with the temps.
