with snow on the way i'm plotting and scheming a day trip either Wed or Thurs. both days i have meetings which I can't get out of.

I'm thinking either Magic or BEast. does any one know if either has wi-fi and good t-mobile coverage?

i feel stupid asking if magic has wi-fi but i'm desperate ..... :dunce:

I was there last Sunday and connected to an unencrypted network, just to do some websurfing. There were 3 networks in all, one seemed like it was provided by Magic(it had some name like "skichanel" or something like that), I am not sure if you have to pay for that. I just went for the one I could connect to as quick as possible, wasn't planning on doing any banking online and my laptop runs linux so I wasn't to concerned about security.

BEast is rough to get an AT&T signal. Can't speak on other carriers.

There is unofficial wireless access at Magic upstairs near the bar. Basically you are picking up a signal from either the bunkhouse (employee housing) or the condo's nearby. I haven't been on it so I can't speak to its speed or reliability. As for Tmobile I am not sure, but verizon, sprint and At&t do have service. It is not the best, but you can make and receive calls. The tower is actually at the summit, but most of the signal goes over our heads.

FWIW Jiminy Peak has FREE Wifi and a new Verizon tower on the mountain.
Not everyone can get the Wifi in JJs lodge but there is a repeater in the lobby of guest services.

It turned out i didn't need the wi-fi but thought i'd let you know t-mobile coverage is excellent at Magic.
