Sorry Dave, but she's got better form than you!

Alas, my wife is a total beginner and is only on the slopes to humor me.

Nope. Beginner/intermediate with no real interest in the sport.

my wife started to get semi-serious about skiing in the couple years before we had kids. she even went on trips without me, with people from work.

since kids, absolutely ZERO interest. i dont get it.

but rip? not even close. she was getting comfortable on intermediate trails but that was about the extent of it.

Maybe we can get Treckchick to have a conversation with some of our wives. She's a rare breed.

Before you do that, you should consult Brian and Carrie. :)
I can be a baaaaaad influence.

I have been known to convince friends to ditch family to play in the snow with me.

Don't forget, My sisters voted me, The evil one ;)

Oh we'd probably spiral quickly into debt, but it'd sure be fun.

Randi definatly has the potential to rip. I give her a couple more seasons and she will be handing me my ass on the slopes. This past year at killington she took a nasty face plant on the needles eye lift line bump run. She dusted herself off like it was nothing and skied the rest of the day :-o She was also really pushing her limits at A-Basin this spring. We did a couple of runs from the pali chair :-o and also half a day of POW runs on the East Wall.

Just riding up the Pali chair scared the $hit out of me!

I've tried many techniques to get my wife into the sport.

No Go!

She's got new boots and skis from two (or is it three) years ago.

She loves her gear! She hasn't been on snow in two years (so make that new gear four years ago).

I even went so far as to hook her up with the top boot guy in the shop...private lessons...Wa ownership asking her to come out and play.

No Go!

I'm screwed. No ski vaca in this guys future. :<

We skied with Carrie and a couple of the Diva's for the 1st half of the day on Sat. I think one of them was from the area and her name was Gaye (sp??) & the other diva was in her late 20's early 30's, had blonde hair and was also a pretty good skier. Both of them were really cool and fun to ski with. But after lunch we went to explore (aka get in over our heads) off the Pali lift and no one else was feelin that. On sunday we kept to ourselves and spent most of the day on the east wall and Montezuma Basin.
