Mrs. 180 rips.

My wife enjoys skiing, but she's probably a terminal intermediate. She's just not as passionate about it as I am. I suspect once the kids start skiing, she'll get into it more. She currently skis about 6 days per season.

To clarify my position, I'm a decent skier, and like to challenge myself but I'm not what I'd consider a ripper. I aspire to be a ripper, but at my age, I'm not sure its gonna happen.

Hmmm… my wife’s much better skier than me. On any given hill, she’ll be in top 1% of skiers on that hill. It helps she grew up skiing, racing in school and being a PSIA instructor in NH for years. She can ski anything.

I do match her high level enthusiasm for skiing though :)

My wife is a fair weather skier, likes anything that is groomed (loves okemo). we do take ski trips asa family but she is usually done by 2 and I have the kids for the rest of the day.

It is quite humbling at times.

She had a head start though. When I was struggling on the slopes of Camelback as a teenager, she was bashing bumps and arials on a national level.

First let me say, I'd be happy to be a skier somewhere between my current level and her level.
She is an inspiration!
Second, do you think that the age someone begins skiing has anything to do with fear factors?
Possibly a topic for a different thread.

Don't ask .. It appears I go through g/f's faster than a person with a cold goes through kleenex tissues ..
Come to find out, she finally admitted she hates winter and the cold so I said maybe we shpuldn't be in a relationship after all ... looks like I am good for about half a weekend ..

Dude..just realize that most women hate winter and cold..she can still keep you company until riding season and then you can keep her warm with your burly old man body...man I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth..doh..anyway the new girl from match that I'm meeting this weekend is a skier. He quiver consists of snowblades and a pair of 145cm skis..as long as I don't have to ski on her skis I'll be happy..

She doesn't need me to keep her warm .. I was at her place and I was wilting from the heat and I asked for a little relief from the heat ( like turning on the central air ) and she said no she thought it was just fine .. she likes it warm and I like it cold .. that will never work.

Yea that's a problem. We both sleep with the windows open well into November and turn the heat way down at night in the winter. Hell I don't think we had the thermostat over 66 all winter.

Isn't that a pretty normal thing..for men and women to argue over the AC..

OSBinME...if you were gay...you wouldn't have that problem..and you could go on a gay singles ski week somewhere out west and you and your boyfriend could spend the winter snowboarding together and the summer snuggling with the air conditioner cranked..lol

Sorry OSBinME..I'm not gay..but if I was you'd definitely be my type..:-o:-o

The last girl I had a "Sleepover with"...had the AC cranked and I was under the covers..:daffy: best of all she had less facial hair than me..
