Even though I know they'll be really helpful, I've somehow avoided taking any kind of ski lessons. I'm setting 2 goals for myself for next year:
1) Get myself in shape before the season begins
2) Participate in some kind of clinic or lessons

I noticed that Wildcat has already posted info on their adult seaonal programs for next season.

There is a 10 week All-Mountain Program that includes 2 hours of instruction each Saturday. Price is $229 if you register by April 15, 2008. It will be available at a higher price after that date. It's open to all levels of skiers as long as they can ski in a wedge on green trails.

Also, a 10 week Race Development program, 2 hours every Sunday, same price as above. You need to be able to ski parallel on blues.

The 10 week programs do not include lift tickets.

The one that caught my eye is the 6 week All Mountain program. This meets every Sunday from 1/4/09 through 2/8/2009. You need to be able to ski parallel on blues. The price is also $229, but the 6 week program includes the lift ticket. The website implies that the 6 week program will only be held if enough people sign up by April 15.

The 6 week program sounds like an unbelievable deal to me. That comes to $38 per day for lift ticket and 2 hour group clinic on a weekend day at one of the best skiers mountains in the East(!).

I'm pretty sure I'll be signing up for the 6 week program. The timing looks good...focus on skill development in January, then still have a couple of months to reap the benefits.

I'm not affiliated with WC in any way. I just thought some of the people here might be interested in hearing about this deal before it's too late.

Just as a note of interest,

the April 15th Seasonal Program deadline is effectively moved to May 15th, due to the very recent announcement of season pass offerings at Wildcat.

Early decision time!

Definitely some good deals on the lesson programs.

I had been waiting to see the Season Pass price. $700 is too steep for me unfortunately. Probably just do a Wild Card or two.

Wild Card was a heck of a value this season. Bought it at the Boston Ski Show where they kicked in another midweek (Sun-Thurs) day. Four days for $118 was worth every cent.
