Wow. I would say a foot of snow at the base and a foot and a half at the top. Stuff was wicked heavy, crusty cement. Amazing base snow, I would say that 3/4 of nature trails were skiable without getting any damage at all and these trails were totally bare before this storm! Don't really have much more to say besides that if you go tomorrow you will disappointed, the mountain was pretty crowded today and there were a ton of good skiers ripping up every inch off powder.

Anyway here are some pictures:

Probably 5th chair up, looking down on panther. There was no snow on this trail at all before this storm:

I am so jealous that you got to go skiing!
Man I really did want to go up there.
10% chance I will be going this weekend ;)
50% chance for April Vacation.
You going to be at either?
Still so dissapointed that I could not make it up there.

Probably not either. If we get a nice day I will most likely be up at Tux or GOS.

Nice. You'll have to let me know how tux compares to Gulf of Slides.

I am sure I wouldn't be dissapointed. Maybe that there isn't much powder left to be found... but as for fresh snow in April, that would be great!

I mean after 12-19 inches of snow, and how epic today was tomorrow might be kind of a dissapointment. Ungroomed is going to be pretty heavy and nasty, but the groomers are nice and soft, and have no ice.

Maybe I should wait for it to bump up a bit...

Austin, had I known you were going up, I would have gotten you to shovel out my stairs! :)

great pics of the Rockpile. Just an amazingly clear day. That's why Wildcat has the best views in the east.
