Yeah, they're long answers, but they seemed mostly sales pitchy and defensive to me...
Still some good info out of it!

my following response to this statement is going to be catty and snide and completely irresponsible of me but i don't care:Remember that the Tomcat lift, while not super speedy, allows you to access more than 80% of Wildcat's terrain.
I would have to agree here. Thanks for the feedback, Steve.riverc0il said:fwiw, i think using the AZ challenge to air personal stories about bad ski days is not a good idea. it puts the media relations person instantly on the defensive and is a topic better brought up directly to the management team in person. examples are good, but examples that cause a defensive response are not. i think the ten questions are better utilized by asking straight questions without resorting to a specific bad experience. just my two cents after seeing a few defensive replies here that really didn't move the challenge forward at all.

Probably right, sky. I'm sure there are some stock "quotes" that are copied and pasted as part of challenge responses time to time. One litmus test for me is whether the rep communicates their message in a personable way. I feel Irene did that. Marketing blurbs aside, all questions were also answered completely.Sky521 said:there may be specific descriptions for Wildcat's assets...specific phrases used to explain the common events etc.

HEH! Yes, although I've not asked any questions, I'm enjoying the discussion. Glad to see AZ is carrying the credibility to obtain the access.
Kudos to you and the moderators.
Agree that the Wildcat responses were complete (or is it the Kool-Aid?) *smirk*

My 2 oldest are 11 and 9 right now; don't worry, they're real skiers and can handle just about anything.

David (11) started to really use his skis properly at about age 8. Before then he could make parallel turns, but would skid out at the end of his turns.
Peter (9) is progressing at about the same pace. My big issue with him is keeping his hands up and in front of him which is what I remember working on with David at this age. Peter really got into bumps last season and David got into them when he was 8 or 9.
