Will we see any lift-serviced skiing on T-Day weekend?

OK, I say we get a team together so that in the event of resorts not opening, we start the lifts! Someone will need to boost Marc so that he can reach the switch. :snow:

Ooh WTF, I'm not that short.

I should probably be wearing copper gloves though. As we all know, copper is shiny and electricity is afraid of shiny.

With that demonstration of technical electrical knowledge and prowess, I clearly should be the one at the switch.

:dunce:

Haven't heard from the rumor mill, so I'll boldly start one on my own.

I fully expect Sugarbush to be open early next week. Possibly even Sunday, if we can get ma to chime in with a littel help. :snow:

I will be shocked if we're not open next weekend.

They really wanted to be open by Saturday, but it is 60 at the base, now. Not much they can do about that.

My guess is Sugarbush will open very optomistically on Monday, Realistically on Tuesday and conservatively on Wed. And if $$ of man power over shadow getting it running and the kinks worked out before the Thanksgiving rush Friday.

Doing my snow dance!

My wife and kids are going to Boston next Saturday. I get a free day to myself and we get this crap? NECN mentioned a "possible" ocean storm Tues. Regardless, I will ski T-Day weekend. How much is airfare to Utah (ha, ha)?

RT on Jet Blue depends on which day you go. Mid-week can be as low as $198. Departures on a Sunday or Monday are about $125 more. I'm planning to go on the 26th. Want to go with me for three days?

I am thinking of bring my bike up Thanksgiving weekend and hitting up Hurricane Mountain and area if there is no snow.

Other than icing on the road from overnight frost you should be fine, and projected daytime w/temps in the 40's (its 62 degrees right now in Bartlett/Glen/Intervale) that should thaw once the sun hits it.

Good idea, maybe I'll go for a ride through the Barlett Experimental Forest if there's no WROD being lift served.

Huricane is still open as far as I know. I could meet you on the South Chatam side with a beer if I know the time to meet.

Based on the forecasts we see right now, we have a good shot of having the top of Mount Ellen at Sugarbush open by Thursday with downloading on the GMX. The guns came back on last night.
