if you checkout the weekend crowd thread, it was crowded EVERYWHERE! this ws just a big weekend overall. Smallish resorts have less capacity to handle it than others but this was the case pretty much everywhere.

Funny thing about that Potter Brothers ticket discount-at the cash register they said Belleayre tickets were sold out. can;t imagine what sort of mad house that place was because they have even less capacity to deal with the crowds than Windham-parking and lifts. Windham had people being shuttled in from their extended parking lot.

my theory is that better than average snow the last 2 weeks and the off week between the superbowl caused alot of mountains and families to plan this to be a big ski weekend-races, ect. why did I go? no football so i was predetermined to go skiing one of the days this weekend no matter what just like everyone else-just turned out Windham was the destination due to the ticket deal.

Windham is a decent intermediates cruising mountain. similar to scope to Okemo and Stratton. Windham is just smaller and less lifts. go there if you want to cruise on groomed corduroy with the family but not if your seeking anything more thrilling.

Go there on a sunday in march. the weekend after presidents day everything will probably get very light.

Ehhh...not saying i ABSOLUTELY would never go there again, like i said, i think i will definately check it out in March Although i am partial to Hunter in spring...
