Windham Powder - 10/29/08
Woke up at 6:45. Started packing the car, ripped the skin off my big toe. Threw a bunch of band aides and started driving down to Windham.
I had never been there before so didn't know what to expect. Until 5 minutes from the mountain I was getting worried about coverage.
Got to the mountain around 8:15. Drove up the Condo Road and parked.
Popped some Ibprofien and took some other herbal remedies for my toe.
Within 2 minutes I realized how I really need to start running again. It was slow going. Snow above my knees tired me out quickly. Don't know how long it took to get to the top of the mountain, too long. Took two runs down the top steep section of... (I'll have to look it up)
Hiked back to the summit and decided to explore some more. Got over to the double. Took a sweet run 2/3 of the way down.
Hiked back up and over to my original trail. Did the top once more and took a run all the way down.
Took one more run and called it a day at about 1:15
I drove down to the main lot before leaving to see two other guys getting ready to skin up. Other than that, it was the only action I had seen at the mountain as far as people skiing.
Once I got in town you could see me tracks coming down the trail under the double. Too bad I don't have a better camera. It was art.
I'm Happy
*Alright remembered how to do the pictures the correct way. I attatched a picture of my toe, I figured not everyone really wants to see it. But it's pretty nice...
You can see where the skin is ripped, it was pulled down to the middle of my knuckle:angry::beer:
