Looks like there could be LOTS of medals won by all the US Ski and Snowboard teams! :flag:

I want Bode to say screw the ski team and become the best out there for big mtn descents. That guy has got the skills, and noone outside of those who follow the world cup regularly realize just how damn good his technical skills are.

I suspect this is Bode's last year and he wanted another shot at the Olympics. For some reason I think Bode might make some noise in this year's Olympics. I think he wants it.

I've really enjoyed watching CBC and some cable network..TNT? over the last few games. None of the politically motivated America Uber Alles crap heard on US television(sadly), just covering the sports for the sports themselves...show a LOT more in their segments...a lot more of Every country's athletes... Much more enjoyable to watch...TNT(I think)... and if you get CBC. There are no Jim McKays around anymore..
Agree with you AdironRider...would be nice to have cold conditions for normal snow....to listen to the so-called analysts talk about Bode Miller's weaknesses when they're being forced to ski on slush...is like the media attempting to change skiing.

And I'll have DVR this time! Which means I get to watch all the televised bump skiing, bobsledding and curling, and just skip over figure skating! Hooray!

I was pretty happy with online coverage of the summer olympics - pretty cool to get an uninterrupted stream - almost like attending, but getting a great view wherever the action happens. Or wait and watch the broadcast version later... Not a fan of the 'profiles' and other fluff. Hope the winter games is similar.

Absolutely

Despite all his accomplishments. No gold, especially considering his 'I don't care' attitude = Dan Marino of skiing.

Totally agree with Big Bog - we've been watching Olympic coverage on CBC since 1976 , its comprehensive , mostly "real time " and cut s thru the Schlock . Many of the US talking heads have no clue about our sport and are mainly doing soft coverage a la human interest drivel . Gets tired really quick
