winter pattern setting up

The next 6-10 days looks to have nice blocking pattern setting up with a BIG high over Greenland keeping a nice trough in the east.

It would spell cold and some snow if this were jan/feb but right now it just gives some hope for the coming months

either way, its certainly better than it was looking two weeks ago with 70's all the way into maine...now we are looking at upper 50s with nights below freezing...so someone should make snow soon

weather forecasts should never be optimistic nor pesimistic, but realistic. evidence of a blocking pattern points to a realistic prediction! now a -NAO and some artic cold and we'll be all set! :lol: still gonna be a little while before winter turns on her cooling fans, but thanks for the heads up it may be slightly sooner rather than later.

some snow cover in eastern canada would also be nice, this would keep the cold around longer and keep it deeper
