Great powder skiing last night at Stowe with a suprise 4"+ for night skiing. Bolton was incredible today with 10-12" of cold dry powder.

The snow is very localized, there is no snow just 20 miles east of Bolton on I-89.

Smuggs got a foot last night and it continues to snow. Like Loafer said, very localized.

Killington/Pico also got some new snow. I ventured into the trees today and the snow was deep but unfortunately there is no base so you are hitting stuff as you go along.

DUMPING on Mansfield. Not snowing at my house 5 miles down the road. I imagine alot of people will be suprised with tomorrows 24 hour totals, I expect they get at least 10 inches today. A rare case of the snow report misleading everyone by understating.
In the lot today at 5, 4-5". We got to mid mountain on switchback in one of the more shelterd spots and suddenly there was a perfect foot of snow. Up high was amazing. My buddy says run of his life today. I couldn't argue. I had to stop today more then once just to breath. Truely choking on POW, blowing fat plugs of snow out of my mouth to try and catch a quick breath between turn. Tomorrow is gonna be fat too! and I'm off again. Dawn patrol.

Well, they only reported an inch new, which is prolly accurate for the base area. More skiing off the chin today. The North Face is filling in nicely, but crampons and maybe an axe wouldn't be a bad Idea if hiking over the chin. LOTS of snow blowing around up there, and a good amount of traffic despite some blustery winds. Some wind slab on some of the more open areas.

Yes VERY localized, no snow in Stowe village, but 4" at the gondola on saturday night.

12" at Bolton was a complete and unforecasted suprise.

Highest base elevation in the State (NE?). Looks like a warm up for Friday, then snow over the weekend with cold temps into next week. Winter is still back.

Really mid winter conditions in Stowe, esspecially the top 2/3s. Really dramatic difference between most of the hill, and the last pitch down to the road. Spruce side has never really filled in. I hear B-days have been good, but non of the steeper stuff really got there.
Thursday sounds like it could be a good one.

I have Daffodils, Crocus and Narsicuss in blossom in my garden. Never seen them this early, how disgusting. At this rate their will be no flowers for Easter.

28" of snow in Ohio today, X/C anyone???

Actually I was mistaken, the 28" of snow fell in Nebraska not Ohio. RSN says all ski areas in Ohio are closed.

Where will the next snowstorm hit, in Alabama?

Sugarbush seems to have been hit hard yesterday with 15" of new snow. Castlerock is reopened for hike to skiing.
