Thou shalt have no boards before AlpineZone.
Thou shalt not take AlpineZone's name in vain.

Do you go to hell for messing up the Commandments?

So what if somebody bashes Alpinezone? It's their 1st Amendment right. It's all theater anyways. Reggie Jackson once said, "They don't boo nobody's".

Sure, it's their 1st Amendment Right. The Ski Gods don't cotton to those fancy schmancy rights, though. How'd you like to be condemned to an eternity of rainy, 50 degree winters? Hell hath no fury like a message board scorned, you know.

What it comes down to (for me at least) is this. I've been an internet nerd for a long long time. I started chatting on IRC years ago and posting on forums not too long after that. I have NEVER met an online community as nice as this one. Even before political posts were banned, things didn't get too out of hand. The Mods do a great job and they have set such a precedent that if they are not around the general community police in their absence. We're just a group of nice people who share a common interest and we all try to keep our interest first. I'm the first to admit that my friends of this forum (all of you!) have fueled my passion for skiing beyond what it would have been without me stumbling upon this place. So, if someone takes a cheap shot at this place and make disparaging comments without any basis what so ever, I'm going to get defensive. :argue:

I'm not sure how to respond to that. I have a life, a good one in fact. Is there anything wrong with what I said? Could you explain without using troll terms like "get a life?"

Why do you feel the need to always be so abrasive, Rossi? Hasn't becoming a parent humbled you a little bit? :-?

BeanoNYc is one of the reasons I have come back to the Misc. file. I see nothing wrong with being positive and being glad about skiing.
If this site inspires people a bit... well then things are good. I have taken a stance against cheap shots here also.
I post other places and this was not the 1st place I started. There is a place for everyone to play. No need to put down any of them if your not happy about a site.... don't visit it.

AlpineZone is really part of the religious right? Oh, thank goodness, 8 out of the 10 voices in my head say this is the place to be. :flame:

OK - that cracked ME up.....almost spilled my coffee. :D

Ya know - if anyone decides to take AZ too seriously, like it's all about them personally, I am out of here. C'mon kids - it's a freakin' blog, fer Chrissakes. If you have no life and need to get your self-esteem from an online community, that's when the statement "get a life" comes into play.....AZ works because it's a bunch of amateurs/weekenders who collectively stay focused (for the most part) on our favorite pastimes. It's about growing the community and enjoying the sports, not beating your chest about how much better (or smarter or more clever) you are than the next skier/rider/hiker. It works for me.....

Go with the flow guys, tax exempt status, government influence. Whats wrong with being religeous.

We can call it Skientology - and our first church can be called "The First Holy Church of AlpineZone"

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A HOLIDAY WHERE WE JUST GET SLOSHED AND ANOTHER ONE WHERE OUT RELIGION REQUIRES US TO GET FREE LIFT TICKETS FOR A WEEK.

LMAO! Sounds good to me, but I don't think my wife is ready to convert. She already prays to the Patron Saint of Ski Wives, Our Lady of Perpetual P.M.S.

Just for the record, that last comment was for entertainment purposes only; I love my wife dearly and she enjoys skiing.
