I've been waiting for this thread. :) It was definitely cold enough last night to make it.

Ski season is that much closer! :D

You bet it was. Even though I'm sick as a dog right now, the first thing on my mind when I hit the grocery store last night was that it was cold enough for snow. Snow showers are in the forecast for Friday night, but that's just not enough...

I just got off the phone with Woodbury and they are going to open today from 4pm-10pm.

It may not be much of a hill but it is only 10 minutes down the road from my house. I’ll give it a shot before driving up to Sunday River tonight for their open tomorrow.

Edged out by Sunday River... by a few hours.. ;)

Damn I guess I wont make it to Sunday River for their open  Now I have to rethink my plans of driving up there. Since it will not be there opening day maybe I should not make the 6 hour drive with gas being $3.30 a gallon.

I guess I will have to settle for the Mount Snow opening day on Saturday.:daffy:

I'm considering it. Did they say how much they are charging for todays session?

Go for it, Chris. I think the only AZer to hit the Woodbury opening was loafer89. Take pics.

I didn’t ask. They only reason I am going there is to keep my opening day streak alive. This will make 12 years. I hope to make this a tradition with my son. He and I went to Woodbury last year for their open. It isn’t much of a hill but when you are skiing with a 3 y/o you don’t need much of a hill. I will probably go for about an hour around 6:30. Yellow jacket chasing my mini me down the hill :spin:

You guys are killing me here!

I'm home and sick sick sick. But I'm about to load the kids into the car and drive the 35-40 minutes down to Woodbury just to see the snow. :snow: Yeah, I can't ski it today. But at least I can look at it and lust.

Though it's kind of sad that I'm lusting after a 300ft vertical drop mountain, LOL. Beggars can't be choosers.... :D
