i have no doubt i would flunk lots of middle school, high school, and college tests without re-studying the material. honestly, how much specific data does anyone really remember by memory from old classes? much more important is learning various frameworks, research techniques, paper writing skills, basic knowledge. obviously some fundamental knowledge, history, geography, and mathematics should be easily remembered by anyone at a certain grade level. but life is not a quiz show so i would hardly fault any grown adult for failing that test.
