I had my molded grip poles stolen at Jay Peak a few years ago. Bastards.

I went several years without using them. Now not using them correctly feels like driving without a seat belt.

Molded straps are great for breaking wrists.I use a breakaway strap and would not ski without them....except.While heli and catskiing the guides always insist you should not use straps.I found out the hard way.I had a fall that I augered in to bottomless snow and my pole was imbedded very deep.I could not get my hand free in the position I was in.In bottomless it is very hard to right yourself anyway and having an arm stuck where I didn't want it was very unnerving.Lucky to have the tail guide come behind me to help.So no straps in deep powder,always releasable straps the rest of the time.

Nick doesn't seem to use them.

He needs to tilt the camera up a bit to not stare at the ground.

And Leki Trigger grips for the win! In a bad fall they will release, and I love how easy they are to use.

What's wrong with country? I convinced a friend to set a glade skiing sequence to "Chicken Fried." It worked.

Just personal preference. I don't know what happened at home recently but my wife is pregnant and all of a sudden after 10+ years she started liking country music. I don't know why but for some reason it just sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

there are a very, very few limited songs that I enjoy that are country.

That said, I don't have any ill will towards country fans. Have at it. Just not my cup of tea

Yeah it was my first time with the camera

I was playing with camera position, if you'll notice the different takes are at different angles. But even my highest angle wasn't high enough.

Wow.. Ive been using them for close to 40 years without a break. I guess some people have wimpy wrists. Its more of a covenience thing. Stick hand in and go. Too bad lawyers have to ruin EVERYTHING
