How's the XC skiing in Mass right now? I'm lazy and don't really feel like driving too far from CT.

I know this isn't where you were thinking but I figured I'd mention

great brook in Carlisle closed a week ago - amazingly went 2 weeks on 8 inches of snow!

weston ski track is back to skiing on the man-made oval - $2 this Friday

I may try to get out tomorrow in weston during the evening - I think they're open until 9PM

I'll do some XC stuff out near Natick, MA when I'm up there.

I'll go under the high tension lines, which run through some nice scenic areas, and only need a couple inches to go on.

You are right, I threw out a XC question in regards to conditioning sometime ago and no one bit! The last 2 seasons have been disasters for xc in the boston area but from what little experience I've been able to get, I am really beginning to enjoy skate skiing - hell of a workout too.
