 You know you're a real skier if...
Your significant other thinks diamonds are black.
Too busy skiing. No time for a significant other (or at least that's what I tell myself.)
Have broken or torn something on your body.
Check.
You own a $400.00 dress or suit, but have a $1500.00 ski outfit.
I have a $300 suit, but my jacket cost $50 and my pants cost $140, and only because they were an emergency replacement. I own zero outfits.
Have more skiing pictures than wedding pictures.
Equal, at zero.
Complain about a $5.00 hamburger, but have no problem paying $80 for a lift ticket.
I'll pay $5 for a decent hamburger sooner than I'll pay $80 for a lift ticket. I'm not a fool.
Your ski gear is worth more than your car.
This discounts the possibility of being a real skier and a real gearhead simultaneously.
You pay off your Visa by the end of summer just to make room for ski season.
I never keep a balance on my Visa. If I had to pay interest, I would have less money to go skiing with.

You know you're a real skier if you check the weather in Vermont more often than the weather in your home town.
