I skied every month of 1997 (lift serviced) with the exception of July.
I skied Killington from October 1st 1993 to June 1st 1994.
I Heli skied in B.C
I Summer skied in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France and Mount Hood in Oregon.
I do not consider myself a ski bum, but a snow addict with an expensive habit.
Can I join the club too?

They are probably too busy getting out there and getting after it to do any of that stuff. They don't care about the end of winter, because they just move the party to Chile or New Zealand. When I'm on a ski trip, I could care less about the topic of conversation on Ski-related message boards. I'm thinking about what a great day I had and where I'll be skiing tomorrow. I'm drinking beers in the bar, or hitting the town, or having a huge meal.
In fact, I'd venture to say that genuine ski bums probably don't talk all that much about skiing. They ski so much, I think they might like to talk about something else for a while. I claim that this does not detract from their ski-bumism, but rather is the ultimate pinnacle of ski-bumness. A higher plane, where skiing is not just a hobby and a part of a life, but is a life in and of itself.
That's pretty cool. 8)I know an actual ski bum.
Last season she flew into Tahoe in the middle of one of the biggest dumps on record. No plan, no job, no where to live. Scores a small apartment by walking around town in 5 feet of snow. Scores a job at Heavenly in customer service...skis for free every day. She's 50 years old and has been doing this for a long time.
Thats a ski bum
