I guarantee those were not locals

I am not so sure about that because I was there during the midweek when it started really dumping on February 12th, 2005 and there where not that many vacationers around. I am not trying to be mean or anything, but alot of people where complaining that there was too much snow, when it was snowing at 1-2" per hour.

We had also gone from 40F + temperatures and spring skiing that week to a massive snowstorm, so it took some getting used to. It was one of the best vacation weeks I have ever had, but I do remember the complaints.

I took a lesson to improve my powder skiing, and I was better at it than the instructor.:-?

...if you get spam with a subject of 5" is not enough and you think "no, it ain't" and open the email expecting it to be related to snow conditions...

You're an east coast skier when you're skis are so sharp you can shave with them.
You're an east coast skier when you are willing to drive 8 hours round trip to ski 3 trails. And I think we all have done this a few times this season.

If you ski without a helmet, never wear a seatbelt, drive fast and something else I can't remember. Oh wait, that just makes you cool.

...flurries fly here in Northern NJ and the local mountain (Mountain Creek) says its DUMPING!!!
