Alta is always better early season. It is low tide for sure. The last installment helped a lot. Only one snowmaking route down Collins, one snowmaking route "around the world" as we say (over in Albion Basin) and a couple routes down Wildcat. Off-snowmaking routes are variable, but people are getting after it nonetheless. They are close to opening Sugarloaf. They were making lots of snow last night and today.Hows Alta looking now, either going there or the Bird Thursday after this storm if it produces

So I have skied both Alta and Snowbird in the last two days. Consistent with my experience, Alta is way better right now. Both in terms of quantity and quality. Snowbird is steeper and requires more snow. Snowbird right now is only Regulator Johnson down to Gadzoom, Bassakwards down to Big Emma/Dick Bass Highway. There are some other areas open right now--namely around the new Wilbere Chair--but it is bumped up and low tide. That said, Cat Crew Cutoff, Harper's and Harper's East all skied pretty well. Snowmaking runs were pretty scratchy.Hows Alta looking now, either going there or the Bird Thursday after this storm if it produces
Not looking good. We are still way too low for a dry spell. If this goes on too long then it is going to really hurt the Christmas Holidays.Yeah im just going to hold off for another storm don’t want to burn an Alta day this early. Hopefully the snow returns soon and this high pressure goes away asap

Was there when they dropped rope on Onteora talking to Jen about the learning area. Maybe tomorrow and or Friday depending on the roads.1) 11/17/24-Belleayre

Belle made a lot of snow since last Friday. Deer Run open top to bottom and coverage is remarkable. They made snow t2b on Onteora. I was riding the lift with Steve the marketing guy when he got the call that the rope was dropped. Lapped that 6x or so. The right side of Seneca continuing down under the Gondi was lots of fun. Open naturals were good. Great day.
Somehow I never run into zyk.
Thought about going again today but punted that to Friday. Thinking a bunch more terrain will be open then. Also planning my first K trip next Mon/Tues.
