More trails open but Gondi down for repair. That worked out well once I found the magic lollipop indicating the crossover from Goat Path to the west side. Liftline skiing over there was dreamy. I want to get up to K but I'll spend one more day at Belle tomorrow then head up to K for a few days next week.

With Friday’s winds I wasn’t confident with lifts running. Decided to get the AT setup out and hike up to HoJo’s to ski down Sherburne. Trail was in great shape with wind blown powder on the sides. Was a little thinner on the last couple hundred feet back to the parking lot.

5. 12/07/24 Sugarloaf

Cold day but so worth it. Just about everything off skyline was open on natural. Gondi, Bubblecuffer, and Misery Whip were my trails of the day.

Wed/Th/Fr at Stratton. Walked onto the gondola the whole time. Did full days and felt great, the conditioning work paid off.

Even though I have no doubt this will be the best season of my life, after the thanksgiving storm and the opening delayed until Sunday (when I had to go home to see a chistmas musical), I have to say I was a little pissed. I feel much better now.

49 of 61 trails open. Quite a few naturals and a bunch of new snowmaking trails. Lots of soft bumps. Some trees open, all skiable. Great day!

Finally...

1. Mt Snow 12/10: Coming back from pneumonia and missed the powder extravaganza, but many runs of fun cruising on Cascade and Snowdance in the freezing drizzle.

Now that I know what year it is I'd like to ad I haven'[t skied. I've climbed stuff in the central Greens. Trying to get to the top of camels hump this week.

It looks fast and getting faster.

The great natural snow conditions from last Sunday are history. All the trails that opened on natural snow only are again closed. Trees wiped out. But lots of snowmaking made for good skiing on what was left open.

Skiing in the east at its' best (worst?).

More snowmaking, more trails open, and 2-3" of fresh made for a very nice ski day today. Heading back tomorrow, hoping for a repeat.

The snow they were pumping out on Tongora was decidedly brown but seemed to get whiter as the day progressed. Hoping that was because of dirt in the pond and not something else.

And yes, even though the conditions have been excellent, after tomorrow I need to get away from Belleayre and ski some in VT. Soon.
