Yeah I’ve never liked Solitude. I’ve only skied Snowbasin once. I might be going Thursday with a buddy.
If you like long groomers and get a bluebird day Snowbasin is going to be great.

Solitude has Honeycomb Canyon plus a couple of other spots. I thought it was really best as a place to stay to ski back and forth from both resorts.

Solitude and Snowbasin are both lame compared to all the other options in the area. I did like how empty Solitude was when I did visit, but IKON ruined even that.
I think lame is overdoing it but agree out of the 5 resorts they are the bottom 2. I'll say that if you ski Honeycomb Canyon down diagonally to the Honeycomb return lift, ride that up, then finish it off with Queen Bess and are lucky enough to do it in powder it's as good as it gets anywhere for a long somewhat sustained tree run.

Looks like 12"+ in a lot of the North country the last couple days, and the next storm should start as snow. Just booked in Stowe for Sunday and Monday night. Planning on stopping at Okemo on the way up Sunday...looks to be kind of cool and cloudy but I could use a couple hours of groomers to get back in shape anyway lol. Gonna go to Jay Monday, and then Stowe Tuesday. Looks like 40s and 50s both days.

I skied 7 days in March, 3 of which were a weekend trip to Bromley. March 17th was my last day. The warmth and rain after that ended what was a fantastic season a couple weeks earlier than usual. Not counting my days during the summer and fall at Big Snow I skied 34 days this past season and am most likely done for the season skiing outdoors. I am planning to take my daughter to Big Snow on Saturday.

March was also my 17th month in a row with at least one ski day. I am now keeping track of my season as 7/1 through 6/30.

This may earn me a permanent ban, but my last day was Sunday. Skied 50 days, all at Stratton. And it was a really terrific season. I never felt the need to drive to K until into march and kinda ran out of gas by then so never used those days. We were planning a trip to Sunday River but didn’t. The 2.5 mile drive to the sun bowl became reactionary. The better half got into the upper 20’s, and really advanced, we had some great days. Next year our granddaughter will be 18 months before the end of the season so she’ll get her first taste.

I worked on conditioning from Labor Day through Thanksgiving, and only made it back home a few weeks so limited conditioning during the season.. felt the difference when the spring conditions hit. Next season I may join the fitness center for 3 months.

Very satisfied with everything.
