East - No such thing as the Best Run, there were a lot of good ones, each good in their own way. Some were powder, some were groomed and steep, some were just snow that was the perfect texture "hero snow"

West - Would have to be some tree run in Solitude, 2 days each waist deep in snow. That was great.

I would say that April 14th, 2006 at Sugarloaf was my best day of the year and the top run of the year was White Nitro to Wedge. White Nitro has thawed just enough to be firm underneath a perfect corn snow covering. It was a cloudless day with not a breath of wind:

Speaking for my son, he considers Beaver Pond Glade his best run on March 18th, 2006:

The season is not yet over, so better days may be ahead.

Didn't do a lot of quality runs in the east this year but Clairs at Hunter was in very good shape one day. They had blown the hell out of it and everyone was back there.

Out in Utah, Mineral Basin at Snowbird had been closed the day before so we got 3 feet of untouched pow for the day. 3 hours nonstop of the deep stuff.

super bowl and patrol bowl at loveland after a foot of fresh. the traverse then hike up to super bowl was really windy, had to get down on hands and knees to keep from getting blown of the ridge but it was well worth it

East: I can't pick a single run, but there are 5 or so that stand out:
Beyond Beaver Pond at Jay in March
Double Bitter, Binder, Ripsaw, and Stump Shot at Sugarloaf on Reggae weekend
Last run of the season, Narrow Gauge from top to bottom, was also nice.

West: All of them. I guess the first run when I figured out how to stay up in deep powder takes the cake.

Last weekend in February, we had a mini-dump at K. The snowdon woods were great that day. Prolly had my best run of the day in Patsies.

Followed by:
March 18 at Sunday River - I loaded the Barker Quad at 8:00 and headed straight for White Heat where they were blowing snow. I had the fifth track down the trail. I skied the Heat 15 times (no exaggerating) this morning. My first five runs skiing the fresh manmade on the Heat was like being in an extreme telemark video, where they just float on the silk as they bomb down the mountain. They turned the guns off on about my fifth run . Sorry no pictures.

March 4th Stowe. I only have one trip to Vt every year, im from PA. So no matter the conditions, its always great to me. Well we got 15 inches of snow so they were just awesome. We were over on Spruce, and went off the side of West Run, and skied waist to chest deep snow the whole way down. And managed to find some nice cliffs. It was simply the best run i ever had. I just wish my skis were a little fatter. The 84mm waist wasnt good enough. And the hike out which was 1 hour long wasnt a blast, but it was my best run all year.
