Will stay local with likely short days Sat/Sun. I don't have Monday off so Lunch Runs will be out of the question with most schools off and a bunch of people off. Maybe try to sneak up after work.

Had the same experience in the MaxPass era. But Monday the joint was empty and they got like 10 inches overnight. Was fantastic that day!Last year I went to Tremblant. I’ll never make that mistake again lol. Enormous lines!
Nice. Post a few pictures of Schweitzer if you get inspired. I might go there later this season.Heading to Schweitzer Thursday night. Hoping Friday and Monday are decent crowd wise, maybe do a 1/2 day Saturday and come back for some twilight laps under the lights.
They’ve had a good early season so far though no storms in the forecast. Love Sandpoint so we’ll have fun no matter what.

Assuming that you are doing your migration to Utah, your timing is great. The skiing is getting nice.I'll be driving across the country on Sat, Sun and Mon (MLK Day). A bit of a polar vortex will be sweeping across the mid-West same time. Hopefully, the lowest temps in CO will be over by Monday as I plan to ski Tues-Fri at Winter Park and Copper. Then I drive on to Utah for an extended stay.
Last January I made a similar drive and faced this in Kansas:
And this in CO.
When it comes to winter driving I'll take cold over blowing snow. For skiing I like it the other way around
