Will stay local with likely short days Sat/Sun. I don't have Monday off so Lunch Runs will be out of the question with most schools off and a bunch of people off. Maybe try to sneak up after work.

I'll be driving across the country on Sat, Sun and Mon (MLK Day). A bit of a polar vortex will be sweeping across the mid-West same time. Hopefully, the lowest temps in CO will be over by Monday as I plan to ski Tues-Fri at Winter Park and Copper. Then I drive on to Utah for an extended stay.

Last January I made a similar drive and faced this in Kansas:

And this in CO.

When it comes to winter driving I'll take cold over blowing snow. For skiing I like it the other way around 🤯

Heading to Schweitzer Thursday night. Hoping Friday and Monday are decent crowd wise, maybe do a 1/2 day Saturday and come back for some twilight laps under the lights.

They’ve had a good early season so far though no storms in the forecast. Love Sandpoint so we’ll have fun no matter what.

Nice. Post a few pictures of Schweitzer if you get inspired. I might go there later this season.

schweitzer is awesome. i did a spokane area trip ~2 years ago. skied at 49 north, schweitzer, and silver. i would go back to each of them. tho i fear idaho bc i got in minor weed trouble on a separate sun valley trip. so i think im done with idaho. dont want to risk more severe troubles. but schweitzer skis BEAUTIFULLY

i am going to bolton saturday mount ellen sunday and then going home. my partner starts a new very big job tuesday and i will take her to dinner monday to celebrate her success

K this Wed-Fri for me.

Will likely sit out the weekend and go for another 3-day trip to K next week.

Assuming that you are doing your migration to Utah, your timing is great. The skiing is getting nice.
