Okay since people are getting seriously stoked for some skiing... I thought I would start a thread about goals for the upcoming season.

Mine are as follows:

1. Learning to hit the bumps... I see the bump threads, I am jealous, need to learn to ski them and ski them right.

2. Hit the gym between now and the winter so I am physically in better shape. I felt myself getting way too tired and fatigued.

3. Get a new ski jacket and ski pants!

Put in longer sessions..

Ski close to or more than 100 day...

Stay injury free..

Meet a skibunny..

Take more pictures and maybe video..

Buy new carving skis and maybe new fat skis...new jacket..new gloves

Ski with more AZers..

Spend over $5,000..cause if I don't then it will go to gambling, hookers and blow..

Ski in Utah..

Ski in Western Canada..

I'm happy with the way I ski so I don't want to spend a minute working on technique.,.

And what's wrong with hookers gambling and blow? lol

How about this, what a good jacket to pick up? Any suggestions?

continue to work on my stance and hand position/poles in the bumps. i think i made some strides last year but i have a long long way to go still.

try to pull out some of the airs i used to do and spend a little time in the terrain park from time to time.

hit 30 days, i think i came up 1 short last year.

Be in better shape.
Ski more.
Hit some easy back country this year.
Chase a few storms, even if it's just up to Ragged and back.

LOL..I'm just saying that if I don't spend my extra cash on skiing..it will go to less productive things..as for Jackets..I always used to have Heli-Hansons and I picked up an Oakley shell about two years ago..I want something earth toned with alot of steeze under $250..with a zipoff hood..for me jackets and boots are the hardest things for me to find..the local ski shop has a big sale in August on leftover gear..

Double my days on snow from last year.
Steer more with the front and less with my tails.
Become more comfortable with "natural" trails (ie. Castlerock).
Learn to telemark.

I know the feeling about finding jackets and boots... last year was a fucking ordeal for me, but I finally got into a nice pair of atomics (by February)... Went through hell to find them though. Need the toe on left foot slightly blown out a little though still. I have that ancient jacket you saw me in last year ... gaper material. I was looking at either Oakley or Spyder for the next jacket... The most I will spend is 275 to 3 bills though.

be in better physical condition than last year. i was in poor shape toward end of season and it was noticable.
ski 30 days
bump or bust - place better than last year
land 360 .. i say this every year... but seriously, i'm not getting any younger, i really have to do this soon.
ski at least 2 new mountains
take trip out west (prefably combined with some work related activity so i don't have to pay for most of it :) )
ski north carolina (i go there for work occasionally)

:-o Nobody can ever claim you don't aim high...
I've done a triple...

Well, my ski popped off halfway through, but I'm counting it. I'd put the daffy twister spread as a tougher trick than the quad twister.
